Privacy Policy — Hatton Bus Times (the Villager)

What this app does

It shows scheduled and live times for the Villager (V1) bus at Hatton, using open data from the UK Department for Transport's Bus Open Data Service (BODS). It has no user accounts and no sign-in.

Information handled

• No personal accounts or profiles. The app does not ask for your name, email, location, or contacts.
• The "ask" assistant. When you type a question, that question — together with the current public bus-times data — is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an answer. Do not type personal or sensitive information into it. Google processes the request under its own terms; see Google's privacy policy.
• Technical logs. The server temporarily uses your network (IP) address to prevent abuse of the assistant (rate limiting). It is held only in memory for that purpose and is not stored long-term or used to identify you.
• No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party sale of data.

Map

Map tiles are loaded directly from OpenStreetMap by your device to display the map; this board does not proxy them.
